Before the incident
Adhesion test to a fabric sample
What happened
EE incorrectly attached the air hose so the upper pneumatic grip was attached to the lower grip hose and the lower grip was attached to the upper grip hose. When he started to setup the adhesion sample he made sure his fingers were clear of the lower grip but did not play attention to where his hand was on the upper grip. He used the foot actuator to close the lower grip but instead the upper grip closed on his left ring fingertip crushing it. Medical care was then provided.
