Before the incident
AE was making a delivery to Innovative Concessions in [REDACTED] he was delivering 6 oversized freezers and 3 pallets of dip n dots. AE states he had finished his delivery and was reaching up to close the lift gate.
What happened
AE states he climbed up the rungs on the side of the trailer left hand was on the bumper area right hand on the grab bar left foot on first rung and right foot on the 2nd rung he reached with his left hand an pulled down the gate then climbed back down with his right foot hitting the ground first. AE states he did not step hard or fall or anything but he noticed as he was waling to the end of the trailer to latch it that his right foot felt numb and as he walked around the side of the trailer to get back in the tractor it felt like his right foot was dragging and not working properly. When he got back into his cab he thought it would ease up as he rested but it didn 't. stated it was not painful but he did have what felt like a mild cramp on the in side of his right shin area but it went away bit the numbness is still there. AE states that he had a previous surgery to this ankle in [REDACTED] when he broke it. had a plate and screws placed and [REDACTED] all the hardware but one screw
