Before the incident
employee was opening metal can with can opener without cut gloves on a table. The can slipped while employee was opening it. employee went to grab the can and his hand got caught on the lid and cut his hand
What happened
Employee states he was using can opener while opening a can the can slipped out of his hand causing the area below his left thumb and palm to contact the lid edge. Employee applied pressure to area and controlled bleeding. Cut appears u shaped in crease of thumb and palm of left hand 1 2 inch and a little deep.
