What happened
While employee was holding slack wire in his right employee activated the take-up for [REDACTED] using the control pendant. Employee intended to press the jog button on the control pendant but instead inadvertently pressed another button on the control pendant causing the take-up to enter run mode resulting in the amputation of the ring and pinky finger on the employee 's right hand from the tension created on the wire the employee was holding. Employee was transported to the emergency room for treatment.
