EE was stepping down from the floor of the [REDACTED] ([REDACTED]) 7th floor elevation Elevator Mechanical Room ([REDACTED]) onto the adjacent 6th floor roof of the [REDACTED]. and underestimated the vertical difference between the elevator mechanical roo m floor and the 6th floor roof. This vertical difference is approximately 36. While stepping down with left foot first his right foot remained on the 7th floor elevation of the elevator mechanical room floor. His left foot did not touch the 6th floor ro of due to the vertical difference of these two surfaces. His right knee became slightly bent sideways prior to him landing on his left side on the lower elevation of the white rubber 6th floor roof. Coworker Department Mechanic was with EE and helped [REDACTED] im get back up to his feet.
