After injecting patient with allergy shot sheath did not slide for nurse when removing needle from patient arm. Nurse pulled needle out of arm then placed sheath before disposal. In process of reaching for sheath nurse nicked her own left pinky with the used needle. Needle struck near base of nail bed so penetration was not deep but blood was drawn.
