I took care of a patient that had a covid test
What happened
this nonemergent surgical case diagnostic laparoscopy hysteroscopy with myosure There was discussion among the staff on how to proceed in regard to isolation precautions It was my understanding that the anesthesiologist felt that we did not have to do standard covid precautions 18 minutes before and after intubation of no doors to OR opening However I was not part of that conversation We did however have HEPA filters in the room and I wore an [REDACTED] mask as did some other team members as well as yellow gown gloves
