Member was attempting to remove a small piece of scrap from the saw by putting their hand under the dust flaps to remove the scrap. As they put their hand in the alignment bar came down and pinned their hand to the table causing a small laceration to the back of their right (dominant) hand. Due to the positioning of the member they couldnt reach the e-stops but the machine functioned as designed and wouldnt cycle with the alignment bar out of position. The member went to the emergency room for X-rays but nothing was broken. The doctor prescribed antibiotics to ensure no infection.
