Employee was troubleshooting a machine fault involving a drive chain that was not engaging with drive sprocket.

Employee reached into machine with left hand to try and determine amount of slack in drive chain. After lifting up on the chain the chain engaged with the drive sprocket pinching the employee 's finger between the chain and sprocket.

Left ring finger received a laceration which required 2 sutures as well as a fracture to the left ring fingertip.

Mounting inverter drive chain and drive sprocket.
