ee was servicing Stop and Shop #443 and while lifting a case of 16.9oz from the sales floor to an empty pallet he felt pain in his lower back that shot down his left leg. [REDACTED] stated that he had taken some extra cases of 500ml 6pk off the pallet that could not fit on the shelf on the floor and once the pallet was worked he was lifting the 500ml 6pk case off the floor and was putting it on the empty pallet that is when the injury took place. [REDACTED] had a 4 pallet delivery at this location and was finishing up the 3rd pallet when the injury took place.Travis stated on the phone without being ask that he was using proper lifting techniques when the injury took place. [REDACTED] stated that there were no obstructions in his way while lifting the cases.
