What happened
EE was assisting on the replacement of a pop-itinches disc on [REDACTED] 3. This large and heavy part is required to be positioned and carried under a piece of duct work in order to get it to the access door of the [REDACTED] chamber. This EE was assisting with the manual movement of this disc. The left pinky finger of this employee was pinched between the disc and an i-beam in the area. The weight of the disc caused enough presure on the finger causing a laceration needing medical care beyond first aid. The employee was wearing gloves and the glove was not cut. The laceration to the finger was caused by the pinching pressure to his finger. Employee was taken to urgent care for additional care.
