What happened
While transporting pt to hospital unit struck curb at highway speeds resulting in myself being thrown into air I reached up to grasp headache bar and placed a foot onto bottom rail of stretcher to prevent falling onto pt. Then when the unit landed my tailbone struck bench hard when I fell back to bench seat Had sudden sharp pain to lumbar spine area which radiated to L side of back. Also have bruised feeling to L buttocks area. While continuing transport struck another bump in [REDACTED] area resulting in further pain. Once at hospital it became clear that movement aggravated pain. Pt report was given and unit returned to station and [REDACTED] M [REDACTED] was made aware who then told [REDACTED] [REDACTED].
