Before the incident
Changing cups from one box to another box.
What happened
EE was operating line -24 and the line needed to go down for maintenance to change the die cutters. EE was sent over to help with rework from line 23. The employee and another employee were to rework boxes of Bk Zesty sauce cups that weight 18.75lbs. The employee was being trained on how to perform the task that would be faster to get through the rework. The task should take about 1 minute per box. They were instructed to open the box and place a flat cardboard box to be used as a cover. Place one hand on top and one hand on the bottom and turn the box upside down and slide the box off and place the new box on and reverse the process with the hands to turn box back upright and remove the cover and tape the box shut and place it on the pallet. This was the only box the injured employee did and claim they had pain in the middle of their back on right side.
