Pulling up a chair to the dining room table to meet with a client.
What happened
They pulled up a dining room chair to sit at the table and grasped the seat of the chair with their thumbs on top of the seat and the fingertips of each hand on the underside of the seat. The seat base was not securely attached to the frame of the chair and when they sat down the tip of their left index finger was caught between the frame and the descending seat. The force of the impact sheared off the very tip of the finger.
