What happened
Dog bite in patient home. Dog was supposed to be secured upon my arrival. Upon entering home dog attacked bit me and continued to bite at me until I was able to get into the patient 's bedroom. I used my work bag to keep the dog away from me. The dog belongs to the daughter who lives in the home patient is weak and was in bed. After telling the patient I was bit she stated her daughter was scared to pick up the dog for fear of it biting her. It was a small dog so minimal skin break and bruising.
