Before the incident
Lifting a lid on a mixer
What happened
After IC lifted lid they slid it to the side for sanitation. A piece of exposed expanded metal caught IC on the arm. The expanded metal had been welded in place however the weld had broke allowing the metal to separate from the mixer itself.
Injury or illness
Right forearn laceration roughly 3 inches above the wrist.

The expanded metal that was installed as a guard to keep the colleague from putting his hand in the mixing area.
