Transferring Patient from table to stretcher
What happened
Employee was involved in patient transfer from the OR table to the patient stretcher. There were 4 individuals involved in the transfer but they were not positioned optimally for the lift. A slide board was in use as well. Employee injured herself when turning the patient toward her body to place the slideboard.She experience severe pain crumpled onto the bed and slid to the floor where she remained until I and another staff member were able to transfer her to a stretcher and transport her to the ER for evaluation.
