What happened
EE was removing four seasons east lobby tile floor as directed asbestos was not suspected. After approximately 500ft2 of removal and 60-90 minutes in the area the adhesive under the tile abruptly changed from yellow to black and the possibility of asbestos was suspected. Work on the project was stopped and an abatement company was brought in to sample and test the material. The tile tested positive and the abatement company finished the removal and disposal.
