What happened
Employee was stepping out of personal vehicle to unlock the front gate. While employee was placing weight onto his left foot it slipped and he fell to the ground resulting in a fracture of his left patella and bruised ribs. Overnight there had been freezing drizzle rain and employee was opening main plant gate in order to get in the building to retrieve the sand truck to spread sand salt for other employees.
