Before the incident
Hot coffee spilled on the employee 's left hand.
What happened
IW reports that while in the kitchen area by the nurse 's station she noticed coffee grounds all over the coffee pot area. She began cleaning the area and pulled the coffee pot from the stand. IW reports that as she moved the coffee pot trapped hot coffee poured from the machine all over the back of her left hand and fingers. IW reports that her hand and fingers are swollen and multiple areas are shiny (like there will be blisters soon). IW does not recall her last tetanus immunization.
