Before the incident
Mechanic was removing body cover off an ASL truck to check the fuses when a bolt broke off on the treads. He had to cut bolt and when using a grinder a piece of metal bounced off the panel and went underneath his safety glasses and got into left eye. His left eye was irritated and used eyewash to clean while working through his shift. At the end of shift he decided he needed to visit clinic. After waiting for a manager to show up the redness in left eye subsided. At this time mechanic decided to Refuse medical attention at that point in time. This is an FYI NOTICE INJURY report.
