Before the incident
Injured personnel (IP) was about to operate the floor scubber. The employee was about to dispense lift RT solution (a mildly alkaline cleaner) from the drum to the floor scrubber container using a hand pump.
What happened
Injured personnel (IP) was dispensing lift RT solution (a mildly alkaline cleaner) from the drum to the floor scrubber container using a hand pump. The pump handle got stuck. The IP used both hands to push down the handle. At that time the hose came out of the scrubber container and chemical spilled on IPs upper leg.
