The injury occurred in the crating area. Prior to the injury EE just finished making the last base for 6 ' pallets. EE was attempting to start making the centers for the 6 ' pallets. EE grabbed all the boards EE needed to build a center and started nailing them together. Once EE got to the end of the board EE failed to notice that there was a Knot at the end of the board. EE pressed their hand down on one of the boards to make sure both boards were accurately lined up together. As EE shot the nail gun EE noticed the nail went through the bottom of their thumb. EE immediately left the crating area to find their supervisor. On the way to EE 's supervisor 's office EE stopped a member of the Safety Committee to let them k
