Before the incident
Grabbing a metal ID tag opn a bundle of rebar barehanded.
What happened
[REDACTED] [REDACTED] Finishing Supervisor tried to remove a metallic tag from a bundle to change piece count because of a short bar in the bundle. the bundle was on a transfer car in [REDACTED]. The supervisor realized he didn 't have his gloves on him when he was about to perform the task and instead of retrieving them from the office he proceeded to attempt removing the tag without the gloves. in the attempt the metallic tag cut the palm of his right hand between index finger and thumb. He stopped the task communicate with 2 people from the team and asked them to continue with the tag removal. Supervisor drove to the EMT for evaluation called CORE and communicate with RM management. At [REDACTED] he left the plant to get medical attention got 3 stitches and around [REDACTED] he was released to go home and the physician said he could return to work the next day.
