Before the incident
Employee was working in the half gallon blow mold room keeping the area clean and keeping the machine running.
What happened
There was a half gallon bottle stuck inside of the mold. Plastic was building up on it and pushing down to the point that it looked low enough for him to grab it from the bottom before the mold closed. As he was reaching up from the bottom to grab it the employee mistimed the cycle and it closed on his fingertip before he pulled his hand out.

Smashed finger resulting in the entirety of the skin being peeled back exposing tendons and blood vessels underneath. No severed tendon and broken bones.
