Delivering a baby

I was using a scalpel to cut the umbilical cord of a newborn child. As I finished the cut the tip of the scalpel nicked the right side of my left-hand index finder. It was through my medical glove. The cut to the finger was very small maybe only a couple of millimeters. It only bled a small amount then stopped.
