Employee was conducting watercraft inspections for aquatic invasive species

The employee was working at Lake Jennie on [REDACTED] and was conducting an exiting inspection at [REDACTED]. While beginning the exiting inspection the boat owner got out of the vehicle and at the same time a small dog also jumped out. The dog proceeded to run at the employee and bit them on the right ankle. Initially they didn 't think it was a bad bite but looked at it after the boater had left and the bite had broken the skin.

The employee was bit by a small dog on the right ankle. Employee was unable to determine if the dog had been vaccinated for rabies so went to urgent care for proper cleaning and preventative shots. The employee never experienced any illness from the bit.
