What happened
Littell Operator _witness employee_ needed assistance with Littell 2 due to the roller causing dents to the plate as well as misalignment_ Mechanic EE _injured employee_ came over to investigate and repair the machine for this issue_ Mechanic reached into the machine to re-feed the plate to the Feed Roller_ which is right before the shearer_ The Mechanic is using a pinch grip to re-feed the plate but feed the plate beyond the Feed Roller to the Take-away Roller_ At this point the Take-away roller was jogged in motion and gripped the plate causing it to stretch flat_ This caused the plate to stretch flat quickly and abruptly_ which led to the employee getting cut on the finger _thumb_ because of the employee 's hand grip_ The employee reported the injury and was sent to [REDACTED] Joseph medical facility for treatment_
