Employee was working with a client who had been steadily escalating throughout the day. Client was in the common area flipping over couches and grabbing things from the kitchen. After giving client space other staff called for additional help due to client destroying the house and threatening housemates and staff. Coworker restrained client in a 1-person 1-arm hold.

Coworker asked employee to assist with transitioning to 2-person 2-arm hold. When employee attempted the restraint the client punched employee in the left eye breaking their glasses. Client blocked access to the office and access to phones to call for more staff. Employee was punched 2 more times. When 3rd staff arrived they were able to switch out.

Concussion; broken glasses

Client (EI) returned from a home visit and left behind one of their games. When their parent didn 't answer their phone the client became triggered.
