Defending myself from attackers
What happened
Injury occurred during annual defensive tactics training class. We were doing 3 against 1 drill where I had to defend myself and protect my weapon from being taken from me. Two officers would have pads and would use those to bang up against me while another officer would try to take my gun. At some point during this interactionmy pinky finger on my left (non-dominant) hand was injurednot knowing exactly when and how it happened while I was defending myself. EE states he used ice and splint to try and treat without improvement.
