At the moment of the incident I was in the nursing station having a conversation with the other RN and the PCA. Suddenly the PCA started screaming and we noticed one of our patients was violently hitting the security officer. I tried to shut the nursing station door but the patient and the security ran in there and we were trapped in the office. The patient was very aggressive and started punching everyone.

While being trapped in the office unable to open the door the patient was hitting us. I tried to protect my face with my arms and remember being hit on my arms and being against the wall and the door. I kept my eyes closed most of my time because I was scared for my life. cannot recall every detail of the incident.

Back pain. Emotionally distress.. Body aches.

I was hit by an aggressive patient.

An aggressive patient came into the nurse 's station punching her resulting in back pain and emotional distress.
