Answering a call light
What happened
Employee was answering a call light. Patient 's stated her IV was leaking. Employee noticed it was leaking from the tubing and placed a gauze around it while she went to get the nurse. When returning the noticed blood was coming out of the tubing. Without putting gloves on the employee started to help stop the blood and cleaning. Employee had open wounds on hands.
