The employee was conducting a scheduled training event in a a wooded area. The training focused on man-tracking skills.

The employee encountered the top of a down-fall tree. The height of it was approximately chest height but large enough to make going under it infeasible. The employee tried to jump on the tree to climb over it. As he jumped and landed on the tree he slid back down on the same side landing awkwardly injuring his right knee.

Ruptured right patellar tendon.
