What happened
This writer was taking the food cart off the unit. This writer had just pushed the cart out the door when the pt went past staff and ran for the door to unit 9. This writer shouted to stop and had hold of pt when pt broke loose and ran for the elevator. [REDACTED] then ran for the door to unit 7. [REDACTED] got to unit 8 's back entry door when this writer and other staff caught the pt. Code 8 was called and pt was held and escorted back to unit 8. [REDACTED] was placed in gowns and his clothes were placed in his belongings locker. Strained muscles in my back and scratched left arm.
