Attempting to help coworker with fixing jammed machine door

Employee noticed coworker struggling with a jammed door on their machine. He attempted to pull the door but the jam was on the locking pin dropped in to keep the doors closed. He pulled the door and it was still jammed. He pushed the doors back and the pin came loose but he did not realize this. As he pulled the doors a second time the doors open and the pin struck him on the top of his head
