Resident was calling his son on the phone. Resident let the med tech talk to the son on the phone. They started talking and the resident jumped on the med tech took the phone from her hand and started hitting the staff member with the phone and his hands. Med tech fell back on the bed hit head on wall. Resident hit staff on her neck and left shoulder. Med tech had hands protecting face as she tried to get away and he hit her right hand and finger.
