Before the incident
Cutting wood with chop saw
What happened
While cutting a 45 degree angle with a chop saw the saw kicked back grabbed the wood and pulled the wood and my left hand toward the moving saw The saw cut through the glove and lacerated the skin near the end of my index middle and ring fingers on my left hand afterwards I removed the glove to check the injury With my crews assistance I bandaged the fingers applied pressure iced cold compress and elevated the injured hand I also took 2ea ibuprofen for pain After giving my crew directions for work and reassurance I drove to Valley Medical Urgent Care Center in [REDACTED] where the lacerations were cleaned stitched and dressed
