Before the incident
Employee was preparing to fold a piece of 18-gauge metal. The part being produced was 18-gauge Hat Channel.
What happened
The employee and his partner were on opposite ends of the [REDACTED]13 folding 18-gauge Hat Channel. The employee was in control of the foot pedal that engages the machine. The employee asked his partner if he was ready. Once confirming that his partner was ready he engaged the foot pedal. As the employee engaged the foot pedal he neglected to notice that his hand was in the pinch point area. As the machine began to pinch his fingers he stopped the machine. The employee 's partner reset the machine allowing him to free his fingers.
