[REDACTED] was torquing a bolt to 220-foot-lbs using a ratchet style torque wrench the ratchet mechanism failed to hold allowing the torque wrench to swing freely. The technicians right little finger impacted the side frame while gripping the torque wrench handle. This resulted in the distal end of his little finger to bleed swell
