EE was preparing to start welding.
What happened
EE lowered his weld hood noted it was dark and thought a nearby coworker was welding. EE started his weld and the auto-on feature on the hood didn 't initiate so he was exposed to his own weld arc. EE stopped and noted that the battery was dead. He went to get a replacement and noticed he was having trouble seeing and his eyes burned.
