What happened
Employee reports that while she was holding a specimen up to eye level to check the volume of the specimen inside the vial the seal was not intact and she dropped the vial on the counter. As she gasped blood splashed into her eyes nose and mouth. She immediately went to the eye station and scrubbed her face with soap and water flushed both eyes with water x 15 minutes rinsed her mouth with water x 10 minutes and gargled with mouthwash then flushed her nose out with water.
