What happened
The employee stepped back to move to the opposite side of the guardrail but did not fully clear the rail before taking the next step. The employee tripped over the rail and fell onto a nearby pallet. During the fall the employee attempted to catch themself by extending the left hand resulting in hyperextension of the left hand wrist.
