He was using a sledgehammer for about 20 minutes.

BAE Steel Shop Supervisor was hammering wedges into a plate insert on the outboard rudder using an approximately 6 lb hammer. The welder with him ran out of wire so the two employees went to the tool room and retrieve more wire. The employee put the package of two wire spools into the back of the golfcart and drove it to the foot of the [REDACTED]. The employee picked up the spools and carried them from the golf cart at the edge of the [REDACTED] to the high reach located just below the rudder. The employee picked up one spool and went to place it into the wire feeder. As he was standing back up the employee felt a pain in his lower back. He was helped to medical where he was evaluated and went to the ER for further evaluation.
