What happened
[REDACTED] was in the pump room located in the women’s restroom by the wave pool when he began experiencing shortness of breath. [REDACTED] was dosing with Cal Hypo due to an ADR at the outdoor pool. At the time he reported wearing proper PPE including a ventilator sleeves goggles and gloves. While adding the chemicals he began having difficulty breathing. He stepped out of the restroom and sat down by the locker seating area to catch his breath. After sitting for a few minutes he chose to continue working until he had finished dosing the pools. He did not notify anyone about his symptoms before leaving for the day.

On June 2 2025 at approximately 10:00 p.m. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was in the pump room located in the women’s restroom by the wave pool when he began experiencing shortness of breath. [REDACTED] was dosing with Cal Hypo due to an ADR at the outdoor pool. At the time he reported wearing proper PPE including a ventilator sleeves goggles and gloves. While adding the chemicals he began having difficulty breathing. He stepped out of the restroom and sat down by the locker seating area to catch his breath. After sitting for a few minutes he chose to continue working until he had finished dosing the pools. He did not notify anyone about his symptoms before leaving for the day. The next morning June 3 [REDACTED] woke up with a swollen chest and throat and decided to seek medical care. He was released on June 5. Medical staff informed him that he has a sensitivity to one of the chemicals in the Cal Hypo compound. He was not given any work restrictions upon his release.
