Before the incident
Attempting to pull a welder from storage rack.
What happened
Laceration Fracture to left little finger from caught between object handled and rack. EE was helping with getting a welder off the Compressor Maintenance racks. PIV forks couldn’t get underneath to lift the welder. EE got in an Articulating Boom Lift to help reposition the welder. In the process of repositioning his finger was mashed between the welder and the upright rack frame which caused the laceration fracture.
