Before the incident
Discarding a scrap glass unit.
What happened
A Vinyl Assembly employee was discarding a scrap Insulated Glass Unit (IG) into a scrap bin. As they were placing the IG into the bin their grip slipped from their right hand and the IG slid back and contacted the EE’s right shoulder causing a 1-inch laceration that required sutures and restrictions from work duty. The associate was not wearing the Aerodex cut protection shirt at the time of the incident.
