Before the incident
Laborer was working inside a confined manhole as part of a Manhole Rehabilitation project. He had been performing continuous work for approximately 1.5 hours in extreme humidity conditions.
What happened
After prolonged exposure to high humidity and physical exertion Laborer began to feel weak and requested water. Shortly after drinking a small amount he vomited inside the manhole. Coworkers initiated the confined space rescue procedure and safely extracted him.
