What happened
EE was cutting open the side on the box to obtain a piece pick item. EE was holding the box with her left hand and cutting the side tape with her right hand with a provided safety knife. EE admitted that she was cutting towards herself rather than the preferred safety method of cutting away from the body. The knife slipped off the box and causing a deep laceration on the outside of palm on pinky side.
