Attempting to insert a shell bar into a liner shell

Teammate was inserting a shell bar into a shell when the bar was pushed too far to one side and got stuck. To rectify this the teammate moved to the opposite side of the shell to push the bar back into an even position. While attempting this adjustment the team member grasped the head of the shell bar with their bare hands. As they applied pressure to the bar their right middle finger became caught between the corner of the bar and the shell. This resulted in a laceration to the finger.
