At the time of the incident Mr. [REDACTED] was performing his regular duties as a porter in the south baggage area. He was actively handling and transporting luggage for embarking guests ensuring bags were properly loaded and transferred as part of the embarkation process.
What happened
he lifted the bag he underestimated its weight. During the lift the shoulder strap of the duffel bag became caught on the side of the luggage cart. While attempting to free and reposition the bag Mr. [REDACTED] experienced a strain in his left shoulder. He reported hearing a “pop” in the shoulder area and immediately felt pain. He then went to the restroom and observed visible bruising on the affected shoulder.
